Katherine Worth
Katherine’s yoga journey began when she was in high school. She was finishing up her athletic career and was looking for a new way to stay fit. She quickly became a hot yoga fanatic and was always looking to master challenging arm balances and inversions.
It wasn’t until she began and completed her 200-Hour RYT with Petra Lehman- Brauer at Create Power Yoga in 2016 that she found more surrender in her yoga practice. Upon graduating, she made her mark as a strong Power Yoga teacher while still playing with creative sequencing in her classes.
She continued her yoga education through several Hands-on Assisting Trainings and found great reward in helping those who wish to receive guidance through physical touch. In addition, she completed her 300-Hour RYT with Down Under School of Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos as her lead trainer in December of 2020. During this training, she defined her voice as a teacher and dove deeper into anatomy, breath work, sequencing, and yoga theory.
Before she is a teacher, she is always a student, and she believes that there is always room to grow and learn. She has a deep love for teaching and practicing vinyasa-style yoga, but her roots are grounded in the challenge and constancy of the Power Yoga practice. Tension and release remain vital elements in her thoughtful alignment-based sequencing. She wants students to feel challenged but leave class refreshed and at home in their bodies.
