Julia Hynes
Julia started practicing yoga back in 2018. Julia was an avid runner in high school and early in her college years, but stopped running after having knee surgery. After recovering from surgery, Julia was looking for a new way to move her body, as well as a way to help relieve stress during her undergraduate studies. Julia signed up for a gym membership, and learned that yoga classes were available to her. At first Julia tried yoga thinking it would be a great way to stretch and relax after her workout, but quickly discovered how magical yoga could be. She enjoyed the practice because it allowed her to challenge herself while also nurturing the mind and body. She knew there was something special about yoga, and how relaxing and empowering it can be, and there was something about savasana that was soothing and helped her sleep better at nights. Julia continued to practice yoga, and eventually decided she wanted to deepen her practice, and learn how to share yoga with others, so she signed up for teacher training. Julia completed her 200 hour teacher training with Nicole Burrill and Kris Cox in May of 2022.
