Alexandra Maldonado

Having established her yoga practice in college Alex found yoga as a way to find focus and acceptance. Alex has continued to practice and explore various styles of yoga and although she loves the benefits of a good Restorative class she finds her true practice during a challenging power vinyasa class. Using strength and breath to move from pose to pose she finds peace and intention in the movement.

Teaching students to find their inner strength on their mat, whether through holding a chair pose a little longer or finding openness in the heart, is one of the main focuses Alex brings to her classes. Alex teaches yoga to empower students, new and old, with fun challenging sequences but also with the intention of helping students recognize that yoga is more than just a moving meditation. It is a skill set that can be taken off of the mat.

Alex completed her 200-hour teacher training with Nicole Burrill & Tim Kelleher in April 2018 and completed her 300-hour teacher training with Nicole Burrill in February 2021 both through the Chakra Power Yoga studio.

Find your peace in the messy.
